Os alunos do 6º ano apresentaram ao prefeito de Kani aquilo que têm aprendido principalmente nas aulas de Estudos Integrados.

Primeiro, fizeram a apresentação da escola.

Depois, dois representantes de cada turma fizeram suas apresentações.

As crianças prestavam muita atenção tanto à tela quanto aos apresentadores. O prefeito também ouviu todas as apresentações com muita seriedade. Ficamos muito felizes com isso.

Na verdade, havia também alunos do 5º ano no auditório.
Os alunos do 6º ano apresentaram suas formas de aprender também para seus colegas mais novos.

Houve uma apresentação sobre o “Sayorimeshi” de Kani.

Embora a maioria tenha usado slides, também houve um grupo que apresentou um vídeo. O tempo de produção? Incríveis 100 horas!

A caneta do prefeito não parava!

As canetas da plateia também não paravam!

Houve até apresentações com participação do público.

Quando todas as apresentações terminaram, os alunos do 5º ano voltaram para suas salas e começaram a preparar o ambiente para a palestra do prefeito.
Nessa hora, o prefeito disse ao seu secretário:
“Eu gostaria de ter os materiais da apresentação dos alunos.”
“Quero escrever um comentário para cada um deles.”
“Mas talvez não dê tempo…”

Então começou a segunda parte: a palestra do prefeito.
Logo no início, ele elogiou as apresentações e disse:
“Pensei que seria interessante se o Sayorimeshi pudesse ser incluído na merenda escolar.”
Ficamos emocionados ao perceber que ele realmente ouviu com atenção as propostas das crianças!

O prefeito mostrou uma réplica de fóssil (muito cara) para explicar os encantos da cidade de Kani, e até deixou os alunos tocarem.

Foi uma história que conectava a pré-história ao presente.

As cidades de Kani, Tajimi e Toki são famosas por sua produção de cerâmica.
Para produzir cerâmica, é necessário um bom tipo de terra.
Há muito tempo, existia um lago na região de Kani, onde se acumulava uma terra excelente trazida pelos rios…
Muitos alunos pensaram: “Ah, agora entendi!”

Sobre a origem do nome “Kani”…

Foi uma história cheia de charme histórico.
Até mesmo nos nomes dos lugares (nos ideogramas), estão contidos os desejos das pessoas que ali vivem.

No final, os alunos presentearam o prefeito com uma música —
“Tabidachi no Hi ni”, que será cantada na formatura.

O prefeito havia dito:
“Eu ouvi que vocês ainda estão no começo dos treinos…”
Mas eles cantaram lindamente.

Mais tarde, na sala da direção, o prefeito comentou:
“O conteúdo das apresentações foi excelente.
Algumas até mencionaram coisas que estamos discutindo agora na prefeitura.
Quero mostrar esses materiais ao departamento responsável.”

Sobre o coral, ele disse:
“Foi ótimo. Maravilhoso! Cada criança cresce de um jeito, então ouvi muitas vozes diferentes — e isso é bom. Todos estavam unidos em sentimento.
Vai ser um coral de formatura muito bonito. Estou ansioso!”

Na hora de ir embora, quando o prefeito estava prestes a entrar no carro oficial, uma criança correu até ele:
“Prefeito, posso fazer uma pergunta?”
“Claro”, respondeu o prefeito.
“Há quantos anos o senhor é prefeito?”
“Há 16 anos.”
“Eeeh, tão longo!”
“Desde antes de vocês nascerem.”
“Uau!”

Que conversa incrível!
E, ao final, os alunos do 6º ano cumprimentaram naturalmente:
“Obrigado por hoje!”

Senhor prefeito, muito obrigado.
Alunos do 6º ano, estamos ansiosos para ver como a cidade de Kani vai se transformar.
Quem vai construí-la são vocês.
Também aguardamos com expectativa o coral de formatura.

Then came the second part: the mayor’s talk.
Right at the beginning, he praised the students and said:

“I was thinking… Maybe Sayorimeshi could be included in the school lunch menu.”

We were really moved, realizing how attentively he listened to the children’s ideas.

He also showed a (very expensive) fossil replica to explain the魅力 of Kani City, and even let the students touch it.

His story connected ancient times to the present.

Kani, Tajimi, and Toki are famous for pottery.

About the place name “Kani”…

It was a story filled with historical romance.
Even place names (kanji) contain the hopes of the people who live there.

At the end, the students gave the mayor a musical gift —
“Tabidachi no Hi ni,” which they will sing at graduation.

The mayor had heard that
“We just started practicing…”
But they sang beautifully.

Later, in the principal’s office, the mayor said:

“The presentations were wonderful.
Some of them even related to things the city is currently discussing.
I want to show the materials to the department in charge.”

About the choir, he said:

“The singing was great. Wonderful!
Everyone grows differently, so I heard many different kinds of voices — and that’s good.
Your feelings were united.
It will be a great graduation performance. I’m excited.”

When he was about to get into the official car, one student ran to him:

“Mayor, can I ask a question?”
“Sure,” he said.
“How many years have you been mayor?”
“Sixteen years.”
“Whaaat, so long!”
“I’ve been doing it since before you were born.”
“Wow!”

Being able to have that kind of conversation — amazing.
And in the end, the Grade 6 students naturally said:

“Thank you for today!”
